About the Club

Formation & philosophy

Faversham Running Club, affiliated to England Athletics, caters for budding athletes of all ages and abilities to enhance their potential in running. The club aims to support the members' goals through experienced and professionally qualified coaching staff, dedicated to the needs of our members and their personal ambitions.

The activities of the club strive to provide a fun and enjoyable environment whilst you set your own challenging opportunities. The club welcomes any member whatever their fitness or abilities, and together we can provide a sociable and supportive member network so that you achieve your goals. Whether it’s your first steps to fitness or last stride over the finishing line, Faversham Running Club will be there to support you all the way.

As a community club we have an increasing supportive professional network including but not limited to Kesson Physiotherapy Services and Abbey School Sports Centre. Guidance on nutrition and your wellbeing is readily available from our partners in sport, enriching your total experience in sportm and I personally welcome you to this club.

Where & when we train

The club meets every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm at the Faversham Town Football Club, Salters Lane, Faversham, ME13 8ND.

Whether you're a beginner, a more advanced runner, or somewhere in-between, everyone meets together and trains together.

We are a club that values and promotes the following principles:
  • Improve towards your own personal goals
  • Community partnerships
  • Access to qualified coaches and professional physiotherapists
  • Network and socialise with like-minded and friendly, local people


For those runners who want to push a little bit further, many of the club's runners meet on Sunday mornings at the Faversham Recreation Ground car park at around 8:00am for a slightly longer run. Please see our facebook page for details of any upcoming Sunday runs.
